About the Office:
The office boasts a modern, open-plan workspace where the team of 3 partners and 40+ professionals collaborate effectively. Due to recent growth, we are seeking a dedicated General Practice Manager to join the thriving team.
 
Purpose of the Role:
As the General Practice Manager, you will oversee an audit portfolio and serve as a primary client contact, ensuring the delivery of multiple assignments within agreed deadlines. You will exhibit strong technical expertise, effectively communicating complex concepts to clients in a clear and actionable manner. Moreover, you will actively contribute to the firm's growth initiatives, manage your team, and uphold our values.
 
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Manage a diverse client portfolio, maintaining deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Lead audits (75%), prepare accounts (15%), and manage corporate tax (10%) for assigned clients.
  • Plan and organize assignments efficiently to meet objectives.
  • Demonstrate leadership by supporting office management and mentoring team members.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 procedures and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to trainees and junior staff.
  • Actively participate in business development activities, fostering client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of services and operational efficiency.
 
Skills and Experience:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing people and audit portfolios in a professional services environment.
  • Strong commitment to client service and excellence.
  • Excellent technical skills and commercial acumen.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to provide constructive feedback.
  • Strong time management and attention to detail.
  • Proactive approach to professional development and continuous learning.
