Adult’s Social Worker – Barnsley

Rate: up to £35 per hour
 
We are recruiting for motivated qualified social worker to join our busy team. This role is with one of the UK’s highest performing local authorities, serving as one of the best places to live and work in.
 
This is a qualified role requiring you to be SWE registered and have relevant experience within adult’s services.
 
We are looking for a qualified social worker who can support the Front Door in adult social care with screening safeguarding referrals and making timely decisions, inline with ther Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005. You will also be a part of a rapid response service that undertakes face-to-face visits to assess the needs and risks of adults who are experiencing or at risk of abuse or neglect when required and provide apprpriate advice and support.
 
The team is also responsible for triaging incoming work to adult social care and ensuring that referrals are directed to the most suitable service or team.
 
The role involves close work with South Yorkshire Police including reviewing DASH and Vulnerbale Adults referrals. The service covers the whole of the Barnsley borough and is based within the town centre with hybrid working availbale in line with the rapid response rota.
