22 hours per week - (ideally 3 full days one being Friday with an early finish)
Flexible hours if over 5 days to accommodate your availability.Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 5pm / Friday 8:30am - 4pm
As a part-time Human Resources Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting their HR team. You will assist in various HR functions, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with company policies. Our client are a leading manufacturer and distribution business, with strong commitment to excellence supplying clients across multiple industries.
Responsibilities of the Human Resource Assistant:- All administrative aspects of the Human Resource department, including paperwork, minutes, document preparation, scheduling meetings, audits, and letters.
- Assist in preparing offer letters and employment contracts.
- Dealing with any investigations and grievances/ disciplinaries.
- Keep on top of the time management system.
- Conducting inductions for new employees, assist with onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Right to work checks for new employees.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by regularly auditing and verifying information.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers, addressing routine queries related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Help organize training sessions and workshops for employees.
- Maintain training records and track employee participation.
- Stay informed about employment laws and regulations.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Data analysis of retention and sickness - follow up calls for people off sick, return to work meetings.
Requirements of the Human Resource Assistant:- A degree or relevant experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Prior experience in an HR related role is required.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
- CIPD qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
