Pay Rate: £17.94 - £19.77
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
Location: Must be based in Wales
Remote Work: Until March 31st, 2025Job Purpose:You will provide technical support to the Geospatial Team Leader, Geospatial Advisers, and Specialists in delivering integrated spatial data analysis. This will involve transforming paper-based maps and traditional styles into dynamic online mapping solutions. You will also play a key role in helping the team understand and utilize these transformed online maps.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a specialized digitizing service to produce key spatial data for protected areas, green spaces, and woodland grants.
- Perform mapping, data manipulation, and statistical analysis to provide evidence for informed decision-making.
- Manage aerial imagery, maps, and spatial data archives (both digital and physical).
- Design and publish customized GIS maps of woodlands for the team's use.
Qualifications & Skills:- Proficient in ArcMap/ArcGIS Online, with experience in spatial data management, digitizing, and data transformation.
- Skilled in map creation, styling, and setting GIS product standards.
- Knowledge of handling sensitive data and managing map/aerial photo archives.
Key Skills & Competencies:- Strong technical knowledge of GIS, spatial data management, and map design.
- Strong analytical skills to solve technical challenges and provide specialist solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams to support shared objectives and priorities.
