Our client, a highly respected Higher Education establishment based near Bearsden, Glasgow, require an experienced Credit Controller on a temporary basis for 6 months. The salary for the position is £11.01/hour, working 35 hours per week Monday to Friday.
Main purpose of role:To provide a comprehensive, accurate and timely credit control service. Ensure clients adhere to agreed payment terms and follow up on any outstanding debt. Liaise with insurance companies to facilitate prompt settlement of insurance claims in relation to veterinary care provided to policy holders.
Main Duties:- First point of contact for all enquiries relating to client accounts
- Contact debtors regarding payment of outstanding invoices, providing advice and guidance on payment options
- Maintain accurate records of all client communications
- Actively seek to reduce and minimise outstanding debt
- Regularly review debt collection processes and procedures
- Resolve disputes and discrepancies
- Provide regular reports on aged debt
- Undertake account reconciliations
- Ensure monthly processing deadlines are met
Key Skills and Requirements:- SCQF level 5 or equivalent in Maths and English
- Prior experience in a credit control/debt recovery role
- Excellent customer service skills within a customer-facing role
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and persuasive skills
- Attention to detail
