Temporary Pensions Advisor (LGPS) required by a prestigious public sector organisation in the heart of London. You will be part of an established in-house pensions administration team, collaborating with their pensions provider to deliver exceptional service to their pension scheme members. This role involves managing a contributory defined benefit pension scheme, ensuring the smooth payment of benefits to employees, former employees and associated bodies within the Pension Fund.
- Position: Full-time, ongoing temporary role
- Pay Rate: circa £20.00 to £21.00 per hour (PAYE)
- Working Model: Hybrid (remote and office-based in West London)

Key Responsibilities:- Provide outstanding customer service and clear communication to scheme members
- Interpret and explain pension regulations in a practical, jargon-free manner
- Plan and organise a varied workload to meet deadlines
Key Duties:- Support the Pensions Operations Team Manager in the day-to-day operation of the Retained Pension Client Service, including monitoring the pension administrator’s performance against set criteria
- Undertake a range of administrative duties related to the pension client function, including providing and checking information to support the accurate maintenance of scheme member records, and assisting employers in fulfilling their obligations to the pension fund
- Develop and maintain a sound knowledge of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) Regulations, Teachers Pension Scheme (TPS), Discretionary Payments Regulations, the State Pension Scheme, and HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) and The Pensions Regulator requirements in respect of pensions
- Provide administrative support to the Pensions Operations Team Manager as required
Requirements:- In-depth knowledge of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) or similar pension schemes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage and prioritise tasks effectively
