Job Title: Finance Assistant
Location: Rugby, Warwickshire
Salary: £23,260-£31,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm / 08:00am - 16:00pm

Key Responsibilities:
As a Finance Assistant, you will support the Finance Manager in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. Your main duties will include:

• Processing invoices, payments, and expenses
• Purchasing tasks and supporting existing team with processing supplier invoices
• Bank reconciliations
• Maintaining accounts payable and receivable ledgers
• Assisting with month-end and year-end financial reporting
• Preparing and processing VAT returns
• Supporting budget and forecast preparation
• Liaising with suppliers and clients to resolve financial queries
• Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
• Assisting with audit preparation

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Previous experience in a finance or accounting role (1-2 years minimum)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero)
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
