Pertemps are recruiting for experienced Social Workers to join a dedicated Learning Disabilities Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic environment focused on improving the lives of adults with learning disabilities and their families.

Positions Available:
2x roles: Case holding only
1x role: Duty management (supported by a Duty Manager and wider team, as required)
 
Key responsibilities:

• Provide statutory support to adults with care and support needs, ensuring high-quality and person-centred interventions.
• Undertake assessments, support planning, and safeguarding in compliance with legal frameworks and organizational policies.
• Conduct Mental Capacity Assessments (MCA) and make Best Interest decisions in line with the Mental Capacity Act (2005).
• Manage Section 42 safeguarding inquiries, including multi-agency collaboration and adult protection plans.
• Work collaboratively with health professionals, service providers, and voluntary organizations to coordinate and deliver care.
• Maintain accurate and timely records on electronic social care databases.
• Supervise and guide colleagues, supporting professional development and ensuring high standards of practice.
• Participate in reviews of care plans to ensure outcomes are met and independence is promoted.
• Engage with carers, providing them with advice and support to continue in their roles effectively.

 
Working Hours: Full-time, Monday – Thursday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Fridays 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – Minimum of two days per week in the office. Compressed hours not available for these roles
 
Role Requirements:

• Degree in Social Work or a relevant profession.
• Registered with Social Work England.
• Knowledge and post-qualified experience with learning disabilities.
• Completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
• Comprehensive understanding of strengths-based social work and safeguarding practices.
