Social Worker, Learning Disability/Autism Team, West MidlandsPertemps are seeking a qualified Social Worker to join the Learning Disability/Autism Team at Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council.
Purpose of the Role: To provide high-quality social work services to vulnerable adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism. The role involves safeguarding, assessments, support planning, and working collaboratively with other professionals to deliver the best outcomes for service users.
Main Responsibilities:- Conduct safeguarding investigations, mental capacity assessments, best interest decisions, and outcome-focused assessments.
- Develop support plans to meet the care and support needs of individuals with Learning Disabilities/Autism and complex needs.
- Work within current legislation including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Continuing Health Care, and the Mental Health Act.
- Collaborate with partner agencies to provide comprehensive services and support to individuals and carers.
- Provide support to individuals with physical disabilities, profound and complex needs, and those in the wider community.
- Work in a dynamic, diverse, and supportive team environment.
Requirements:- Degree in Social Work, Dip SW, CQSW, or equivalent.
- Social Work England registration.
- Minimum 2 years post-qualifying experience in Adult Social Work, particularly with Learning Disabilities/Autism.
