The Role
A thriving secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a committed and inspiring English Teacher to join their team from January 2026. This long-term assignment involves teaching English across KS3 and KS4, helping students develop strong literacy skills, analytical thinking, and confidence in both written and spoken communication.
You’ll deliver well-structured lessons, assess progress regularly, and contribute to a department that values creativity, high standards, and engaging learning experiences. The role is ideal for teachers who enjoy shaping meaningful classroom discussions and guiding students towards exam success.
The Candidate
We’re looking for a passionate, reflective English specialist who brings energy and clarity to the classroom. You should be:
- A qualified teacher with QTS (ECTs welcome to apply)
- Confident teaching English at KS3 and KS4
- Skilled at planning engaging lessons that challenge and support all learners
- Strong in behaviour management and classroom presence
- Committed to raising attainment and fostering a love of literature
