JOB DESCRIPTION

A Mobile Security Service Engineer is a professional who specializes in providing on-the-go technical support, installation, maintenance, and repair services for various mobile security systems. QUALIFICATIONS

Academic qualifications may not be required, though some GCSEs/S grades or an equivalent qualification may be an advantage. NVQs/SVQs for Providing Security, Emergency and Alarm Systems are available at Levels 2 and 3. Apprenticeships combining practical work experience and technical training are available at Levels 2 and 3. Entrants must have normal colour vision and security clearance.

TASKS

  • Travel to customer locations to install and configure mobile security systems, ensuring proper setup and functionality..
  • Integrate mobile security systems with existing security infrastructure or other systems, such as access control or monitoring platforms..
  • Install and connect wiring and cables for security devices, ensuring proper connectivity and communication between components..
  • Program and configure mobile security system components to meet specific client requirements and security protocols..
  • Conduct thorough testing of installed systems to ensure all components work correctly. Perform quality assurance checks to verify system reliability..
  • Perform routine maintenance inspections on mobile security systems, identifying and addressing potential issues proactively..
  • Configure mobile security systems for remote monitoring, allowing clients to access and manage their security systems remotely..
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with mobile security systems, both remotely and on-site, and implement effective solutions..
  • Implement software updates and patches for mobile security system components to enhance performance and address security vulnerabilities..
  • Provide training to end-users or clients on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mobile security systems..
  • Maintain accurate records of installation details, maintenance activities, and repairs for reference and future service needs..
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their mobile security requirements, address concerns, and provide updates on service activities..
  • Respond promptly to emergency service calls related to mobile security system malfunctions or urgent security concerns..
  • Adhere to safety protocols during installations and repairs to ensure the safety of personnel and property..
