Early finish on Fridays!Our client is a leading manufacturing company of industrial, process and electric heating elements in the UK and Europe. Our client is looking for an experienced Buyer.
Job Description: As the Buyer you will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management. You will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, products, and services to meet the company's operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, pricing, and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and plan procurement activities.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant data.
Skills and Experience:- Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar role.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
