Postal Delivery Person

Role: Postperson (with driving licence)
Location/Hrs: Runcorn (WA7 1TT) Any 5 shifts between Mon-Sat
YOU MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO START WORK ANYTIME BETWEEN 7AM-12PM
Hours: 30 hours per week but there may be an opportunity to work more hours.
This will be a temporary ongoing role.
Hourly Rate: £13.37 p/h

Due to an increase in demand, Pertemps are working in partnership with the Royal Mail to source professional Delivery Drivers to support with their busy operation. This is your opportunity to have a real impact, in the heart of your community.

About the Postperson role
You will start your day in the local delivery office, sorting and gathering the mail needed for your route. You will collect your allocated vehicle and your hand-held computer device (detailing your route and tracking your mail) and then deliver the mail and parcels to your local community. Shift lengths vary between 6 - 8 hours per day.
Please be aware that you will be walking more than driving and most Postpeople do over 20,000 steps a day.

About You
The ideal candidate for this role will be upbeat, self-motivated, and happy to work alone as well as part of a team. You will be helpful and approachable displaying a strong sense of community, as you get to know the people you meet on your round.
Royal Mail deliver parcels whatever the weather, so you will enjoy working outdoors and due to the amount of walking required you will need to be relatively fit and healthy.
You will be smartly presented, always acting in a professional and courteous manner.

Previous Experience
Some previous experience in a customer facing or delivery role would be ideal but not essential.
You will be required to complete a full DBS security check prior to commencing work.

Driving licence requirements
A full UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address)
Maximum 6 penalty points
