TIG Welder Fabricator

Pertemps have been asked to recruit for our expanding manufacturing client based in Halesfield, Telford they are looking for full time permanent skilled TIG welders to join their successful, motivated and friendly team.
This is an exciting role for an aspiring individual, where you will be working alongside other motivated factory team members, fabricating, welding and working from detailed drawings on the stainless-steel projects that have been assigned to you.
You will be performing fabrication and welding tasks on various metal components and structures, ensuring high quality welds that meet industry standards. Working at customer sites will be required, completing the installation and maintenance of manufactured products. You will be liaising with the designer and production manager to ensure work is carried out accurately

Ideal Candidate

• Previous welding experience essential.
• Engineering background essential.
• Ability to prepare cleaning, grinding and necessary before welding
• To have a creative flare understanding drawings and therefore fabricating specialist designs.
• Must be able to weld thin gauge material ranging from 1.2mm to 10mm
• Have a logical thought process.
• Fabrication knowledge/skills, be able to read and interpret on both basic and highly technical drawings
• Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication
• Mechanical skills preferred (Conveyor/Machinery)
• Driving licence essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions, including standing, bending and kneeling

Salary: £16.00 per hour
Evening/weekend overtime PAID at Time and 1/3, Time and 1/2 and DT.

Hours: 40 hours Mon – Thurs 07:00 – 16:00 & Fri 07:00 – 13:00) + evening/weekend overtime
