Production Manager

Our client is a well established precision engineering company looking for a production manager to join their team.
 
Your daily duties would consist of:
 
- In charge of overseeing daily production and delivery operations across various facilities, ensuring on-time delivery (OTD), optimal equipment efficiency (OEE), sales performance, inventory management, and budget compliance.
 
- Transforming engineering-generated job routings into Excel-based production plans.
 
- Implement visual management tools to track production plans across units and monitor compliance.
 
- Update the capacity tracker based on the order book, coordinating with business development, engineering, and account management teams.
 
- Lead, manage, and inspire a large production team while implementing daily production meetings.
 
- Proactively oversee the production expeditor to ensure effective product movement and optimal resource allocation, meeting OTIF targets and coordinating with account managers.
 
- Collaborate with the Business Systems Manager to review and confirm the feasibility of the production plan.
 
- Collaborate with maintenance to ensure equipment is fully operational and that maintenance activities are properly planned. Enhance machine and facility cleanliness, and conduct audits to ensure staff compliance with TPM requirements.
 
- Ensure correct use and maintenance of tools inside the tooling area.
 
- Complete contract review paperwork for jobs to be launched to shopfloor.
 
Salary: £45,000+ dependant on experience 
 
Hours of work: 8am-5pm Mon-Fri (39 hours)
