Job Title: Welder Fabricator (MIG) – Potential Shopfloor Manager

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator Welder (MIG) to join our client’s established team in Wolverhampton. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with strong expertise in structural steel fabrication and welding, with the potential for progression into a Shopfloor Manager role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out MIG welding and fabrication of structural steel components
  
  
• Reading and interpreting detailed fabrication drawings
  
  
• Supporting and coordinating workflow on the shopfloor
  
  
• Maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring safe working practices
  
  
• Assisting with UKCA paperwork (experience advantageous)
  
  

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven background in fabrication and MIG welding (structural steel essential)
  
  
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings with accuracy
  
  
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and punctuality
  
  
• Previous shopfloor management experience desirable but not essential
  
  
• A valid driving licence and UKCA paperwork experience would be beneficial
  
  

Position Details:

• Hourly Rate: Up to £17.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
  
  
• Hours: Monday to Friday, up to 40 hours per week, with overtime available as required
  
  
• Contract: Temporary to permanent position, offering long-term stability and further development opportunities
