Location: Wolverhampton

Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:30pm
Contract: Temp-to-Perm
Pertemps Wolverhampton are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering company for an experienced CNC Lathe Setter & Operator. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering long-term stability for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting and operating CNC lathes to produce precision components
- Working confidently from detailed engineering drawings
- Using micrometers, gauges, verniers, and other measuring tools
- Ensuring components meet tight tolerances and quality standards
- Making minor program adjustments when required
- Performing in-process inspections and completing documentation
- Maintaining machines, tooling, and a clean working environment
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience as a CNC Lathe Setter/Operator
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Confident using precision measuring equipment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good understanding of tooling, speeds, and feeds
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and quality-focused
