Wood Machinist  – Temp to Perm Opportunity!

£12.50 - £13.50 per hour DOE

Pertemps are excited to be recruiting for a leading joinery and woodworking company specialising in high-quality custom doors, cabinetry, and architectural woodwork.  We are seeking a skilled and experienced wood machining operative to join the dynamic and effective team.

Job Description:

As an experienced wood machinist you will join a skilled team of assemblers and machine operators. You will be required to hit production goals and ensure the high quality production as well as the safe and efficient working environment. 


Key Responsibilities:


-          Operate and maintain wood machining equipment.

-          Read and interpret work orders and technical drawings.

-          Measure, cut, and shape timber according to specifications.

-          Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery.

-          Ensure all products meet quality standards.

-          Adhere to health and safety guidelines in the workplace.

-          Maintain a clean and organized work area.


 


Requirements:

 

-          Proven experience as a Wood Machinist or similar role.

-          Extensive knowledge of Machining techniques.

-          Strong time management skills.

-          Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

-          Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.


Benefits:


-          Competitive hourly rate of £12.25 - £13.50

-          Monday to Thursday - 08:00 - 17:00 - 08:00 - 15:15 on a Friday.
