Experienced Warehouse Team Leader

Full-time – Temporary to permanent Position.

We are recruiting for an Experienced Warehouse Team Leader in the South Birmingham Area, they are to be responsible for supporting the Site Manager and ensuring that operational plans are delivered.

This is role is for an automotive company with a global brand the key responsibilities for this role are as follows;

-          Ensure continuous communication between managers and warehouse staff.


-          Motivate coach and mentor all subordinates.


-          Manage staff performance issues and conflict.


-          Control holidays ensuring no adverse costs are incurred.


-          Ensure that all SOPs are followed and are up to date.


-          Maintain housekeeping and warehouse records to a high standard.


-          Ensure PPE is worn correctly.


-          Prompt accident reporting and completion of the accident reporting booki.

 

A successful candidate will have the following qualifications;


-          FLT Counterbalance (Desirable).


-          Driving Licence (Desirable).


-          Leadership.


-          Accuracy and attention to detail.


-          Excellent oral and written communication.


-          People management skills, including the ability to inspire, lead and motivate a team of people, delegate and explain ideas.


-          Tech savvy with experience of Windows and an ability to adapt to other systems as and when required.

 


The following is a list of knowledge base a successful candidate will require;


-          In depth understanding of company processes and equipment.


-          High level of proficiency in warehouse operations.


-          Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.


-          Previous management experience.


-          Proficiency in employee relations.

The hours of work for this role are 0830-1630, Monday to Friday paid at £12.01 per hour and will rise to £13.33 when going permanent.
