Are you a European Road Freight professional with a strong commercial mindset and exceptional negotiation skills? This is an exciting opportunity to take full ownership of European haulage operations across 8 UK branches for a leading logistics company.
You will be responsible for growing and developing new transport/haulage business opportunities while maintaining and improving existing services. This is an operational and commercial role, requiring expertise in cost-effective transport solutions, supplier negotiations, and customs clearance procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
" Manage European Freight Operations: Process orders, book deliveries, and arrange transport at competitive rates.
" Negotiate & Build Relationships: Develop strong partnerships with haulage providers, negotiating advantageous rates.
" Customs Compliance & Documentation: Work closely with the customs team to ensure smooth import/export processes.
" Process & Reporting: Chase PODs, handle invoices, update internal systems, and provide KPI reports.
" Problem-Solving & Customer Service: Investigate delivery issues, implement preventative actions, and maintain excellent communication with stakeholders.
" SOP Development: Create and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency.

What We're Looking For:
" Extensive experience in European Road Freight & UK/EU haulage operations - essential
" Strong negotiation skills - ability to secure cost-effective transport solutions.
" Customs knowledge - understanding of declarations and import/export documentation.
" Self-sufficient & proactive - you will be working alone in this role and must take full responsibility for operations
" Excellent time management & problem-solving skills - ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
" IT proficiency - experience with Excel, Word, and ideally CargoWise.
