My client is a specialist consultancy in design engineering, focused on innovative product development and Intellectual Property. They work across the automotive and energy storage industries, bringing cutting-edge solutions from concept to reality.

The Role
As an Engineering Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the design and manufacture of functional prototypes. You'll work on a variety of products, contributing your expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, fabrication, and problem-solving. Occasional travel to Sweeden may be required (possible 2 trips per year).

Key Responsibilities
" 3D CAD Design - Using SolidWorks to create systems, assemblies, and parts
" Prototype Assembly - Building working prototypes, including mechanical and electrical systems
" Fabrication & 3D Printing - Producing and assembling custom components
" Problem-Solving - Applying basic engineering equations to troubleshoot and refine designs
" Electro-Mechanical System Development - Supporting the design and build of functional systems
" Independent & Teamwork - Working autonomously while contributing to a small, collaborative team

Essential Skills & Experience
" SolidWorks CAD - Strong experience designing assemblies and components
" Prototype Development - Hands-on experience with fabrication and assembly
" Auto-Electrical Engineering - Good understanding of electrical systems, including high-voltage (HV) automotive applications
" Mechanical Engineering - Good knowledge of mechanical systems and components
" Problem-Solving & Innovation - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
