My client is a well-established, family-owned manufacturing business based in Birmingham, with a long-standing reputation for producing high-quality components for the luxury interiors market. The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Electroplating Engineer to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong technical expertise in metal plating and a proactive approach to quality and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will have proven experience plating Nickel, Chrome, and Copper, ideally within a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and adjust chemical plating solutions
• Carry out quality inspections to ensure products meet required standards
• Maintain and troubleshoot plating equipment
• Process components through various chemical and electroplating stages
• Ensure all work complies with company quality standards
• Adhere strictly to environmental, health, and safety regulations
• Contribute to process improvements and best practices

Essential Requirements

• A strong alignment with company values, including integrity, accountability, and excellence
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in electroplating metals (including brass)
• A positive, can-do attitude with a mindset for continuous improvement
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Good verbal and written English communication skills

Desirable

• Experience working with brass hardware or luxury components
• Basic computer and IT skills
• Exposure to shop-floor machining or manufacturing processes

• Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:30, Friday: 07:30 - 12:30
