Job Description

Job Title: Sales Coordinator
 
Reporting To: Sales Director

Our client is seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join their dynamic sales team in the Birmingham area.
 
Job Overview:
To provide overall support to the sales department in the day-to-day management of a wide portfolio of customers. Acting as the primary point of contact for strategic National Accounts customer distribution partners, supply chain teams and regional branches to ensure service levels are maintained as well as analysing data and producing reports for use by the wider sales team.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Processing and coordinating customer orders
  • Liaising with nominated purchasing teams, supply chain departments and logistics providers to ensure customer requirements are met on time in full
  • Reviewing sales and stock holding figures to produce reports for internal and external use
  • Collating, analysing and reporting to on data to allow the sales department to monitor progress versus KPI’s
  • Taking minutes in sales meetings, distributing and following up on agreed action points
  • Maintaining accurate price lists on ERP system in accordance with contracts
  • Monitoring customer debtors , where necessary, chasing overdue debt
  • Conducting regular market research to track and report on ranges and trends
  • Organising market activity and trade show events
  • Arranging samples and coordinating delivery to customers
  • Working effectively with all other internal departments and relevant external partners as required to meet departmental targets
  • Identifying and implementing improvements and efficiencies to existing processes

Candidate skills and Attributes:
  • High proficiency in literacy and numeracy
  • Excellent communicator in person, in writing and over the phone
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and autonomously
  • Effective time management skills, able to multitask and prioritise workload to meet deadlines
  • Good attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work under pressure
  • Strong IT skills with in depth working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
  • Food wholesale back ground is a necessity 
 
Location: Central Birmingham, with access to Bus and Tram stops
Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, 09:00-17:00
