Management Accounts Executive
An Exciting Opportunity with a Leading Finance Team
Location: Preston, UK | Contract Type: Permanent

We are working on behalf of a prestigious organisation to recruit a Management Accounts Executive to join their Internal Finance Function (NFO) team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping the organisation’s financial processes, contribute to its growth, and mentor junior team members in a varied and challenging role.

About the Role

As a Management Accounts Executive, you’ll take on diverse responsibilities, including:
  • Preparing monthly management accounts journals.
  • Managing firm-wide overheads, core function reporting, and balance sheet reporting, including reconciliations for accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and more.
  • Supporting key projects, such as Project Acorn, by delivering meaningful management insights.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards through risk management and process documentation.
  • Coaching and developing junior team members to foster a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will bring a mix of technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a proactive attitude. Here’s what we’re looking for:
  • Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in IT, with strong Excel skills.
  • Attributes: 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • A self-starter with initiative and problem-solving abilities.
    • Strong accuracy and prioritisation skills, with attention to detail.
