Facilities Team Member
Location: Selly Oak, Birmingham
Pay Rate: £13.18 per hour
Hours: 8-hour shifts between 8am - 8pm, Monday to Sunday on a rota basis

We are seeking a Facilities Team Member to join a dedicated estates team in Selly Oak, Birmingham. About the Role as a Facilities Team Member, you will play a key role in ensuring a well-maintained, safe, secure, clean, and efficient environment. Reporting to the Facilities Team Lead, you will be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring compliance, and enhancing the overall experience for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a brand ambassador, always maintaining a professional and positive approach.
- Provide a world-class student experience, responding to maintenance requests efficiently.
- Ensure all buildings and facilities are clean, safe, and fully operational.
- Conduct basic maintenance work, including:
- Working with locking systems (mechanical and electronic).
- Window and door repairs.
- Supporting fire alarm activations and false alarms.
- Performing reactive maintenance and summer turnaround projects.
- Fault finding and rectifications.
- Completing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) inspections.
- Adhere to company policies and health & safety procedures at all times.
- Log and monitor maintenance issues through the PDA app.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Basic joinery, plastering, and domestic plumbing skills.
- Ability to complete like-for-like electrical changes, repairing holes in walls, and safety compliance.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
- Comfortable working alone when required and being available for call-outs.
