I am pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a client nearby to the Wolverhampton area who are seeking an IT Technician to join the department on a permanent basis. The IT Technician will oversee the daily operations of the IT support service, ensuring consistent service levels and system reliability. Reporting to the IT Manager, they will also contribute to the development and implementation of the company’s IT strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 

• Regularly monitor backups, verify data integrity, and collaborate with the IT Manager to address any issues.
• Contribute to the IT infrastructure maintenance plan, ensuring it is well-documented and effectively executed by the IT Technician.
• Oversee all aspects of the company’s IT systems and network technologies.
• Monitor helpdesk tickets, ensuring timely updates, resolution of requests, and keeping users informed of progress.
• Plan, test, and manage software deployments, ensuring all software is properly licensed.
• Ensure systems and infrastructure remain operational and stable to meet business requirements.
• Provide training, development, and advanced support to the IT Services Technician, helping them deliver reliable and efficient services across the organisation.
