Facilities Assistant

Are you an experienced Facilities/Maintenance operative looking for a new opportunity in the Wolverhampton area?

Hours of work - 37.5 hours per week on day shiftsPlease note this post is restricted to woman due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 part 1 of the Equality Act 2010 applies.
Our client is looking for someone to carry out these daily duties:
 
- To carry out both planned and reactive repairs and maintenance for properties across the Wolverhampton area
- Endeavour to make repairs without the need for qualified contractors, where possible
- Carry out minor maintenance duties including day to day household repairs such as lighting, plumbing, minor electrical, and carpentry tasks 
- Completing skilled work, having a broad variety of maintenance, trades, and skills, to enable you to complete a varied range of repairs reported 
- Working as part of the maintenance team to complete and monitor repairs to ensure repairs are completed competently and sufficiently 
- Ability to work as part of a team and indipendently
- Problem-solving skills to face unexpected issues as they arise, and react promptly and sufficiently
- Driving licence and own car essential
- Able to work unsociable hours on occasions if required to undertake internal activities or external continued professional development activities
