A leading steel stock holding company dedicated to providing high-quality steel products and exceptional customer service are looking to recruit an experienced Customer Account Manager to join our dynamic team and manage key accounts. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing customer accounts, being a point of contact throughout the order process, liaising with internal departments and dealing with any issues that may arise.
Duties:
- Managing 15 - 20 customer accounts
- Managing deliveries to schedules / forecasts
- Monitoring schedule adherence (is the customer under / over consuming compared to their forecast)
- Stock control
- Sourcing material
- Negotiating with suppliers
- Working out production processing instructions (training will be given)
- Recovering costs when necessary
- Updating contract prices monthly / quarterly
- Monthly reporting on usage / sales / stocks
- Maximising sales to existing and new customers
- Quotations (existing and new customer)
Experience:
- Proven experience in customer account management within the steel stock holding industry, would be an advantage
- Strong understanding of stock control, material sourcing, and supplier negotiation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for reporting and account management.
- Strong analytical skills to monitor and interpret customer consumption data.
This is an office based role working Monday to Friday 8.30 - 5.00pm
