We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Trade Counter Sales Assistant to join an established team within a trade counter environment. This role involves supporting both trade professionals and members of the public, delivering excellent service and contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the depot.
Key Responsibilities
- Serving customers at the trade counter and within the showroom
- Assisting with product selection, providing quotations, and answering enquiries
- Processing transactions and handling payments accurately
- Managing goods received and maintaining stock levels
- Ensuring the retail space is clean, well-organised, and presentable
- Supporting general depot operations and collaborating with colleagues
- Building rapport with trade customers to encourage repeat business
- Answering calls and providing information on products, pricing, and availability
Skills & Experience Required- Strong customer service skills and a confident telephone manner
- Previous experience in a retail or trade counter environment
- Knowledge of plumbing and heating products preferred, but not essential
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling stock and transactions
- Positive, proactive attitude and a team-oriented mindset
Working Hours- Expected to work 46 hours per week working 5 days across 6, with 1 day off in the week
- Some flexibility may be required depending on depot needs
