Electrical Engineering Manager

Electrical Engineering Manager is required for our client based in Cradley Heath.

My client is a small manufacturing business with a professional, social, and supportive outlook with the goal to increase their market share.

The ideal candidate for the role of electrical engineering manager will be someone who has a design background, project management experience and commercially aware as this role will grow over time.

Commitment and a high level of drive and quality standards are a must as this is a critical role within the future of the business.

You will have experience in:

• Controls/control panel sector providing technical design.
• Providing client support
• Overseeing our workshop operations
• Helping to develop a business from a operational and commercial aspect.

The successful applicant should be sales driven, applying themselves to increasing the turnover of the business.

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the directors.
• Manage daily workshop operations and supervise staff.
• Produce designs/drawings from client point schedules and enquiries.
• Produce client quotations with a view to obtaining orders.
• Monitor stock levels and order parts as needed.
• Train new employees.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Actively drive the turnover of the business.

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in a controls/BMS related environment.
• Strong electrical knowledge and experience with control panels.
• Designing using AutoCAD or other design software.
• Panel wiring: 3 years (preferred).

A working knowledge of AutoCAD will be an advantage, for producing working drawings for panel manufacture, however training will be given to the successful candidate if required. Some hands-on work is possible on occasion, to support our client's needs.
