National Account Manager - UK & Europe
Location: Oldbury/Smethwick
Salary: Up to £55k based on experience
(Plus car allowance and benefits)Responsible for developing and sustaining strong and long-lasting relationships with the EMEA national account customers.
Identify new customer channels or product lines to support business growth.
Responsible for the coaching and mentoring junior members of the sales team.
Job Duties:- Generate sales in the UK and Europe in line with the aims and objectives of the company's business plan.
- Ensure successful and timely delivery of products/services to customers according to their requirements.
- Identify national account opportunities across the business's product portfolio and the EMEA region.
- Manage customer enquiries/complaints and conflicts efficiently and effectively.
- Prepare reports of sales metrics over a specified period - monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
- Write proposals and business plans for securing National account business opportunities.
- Develop business strategies for the UK and European customer base to ensure profit growth.
- Negotiate national account business contracts to promote growth and a stronger customer/supplier partnership.
- Assist in developing company's marketing strategy, and also assist its execution.
- Hold regular sales development meetings to help progress the offer in line with budget expectations.
- Provide a consistent approach in all aspects of the role.
- Ensure the highest levels of professionalism and integrity are employed at all times.
- Provide open and transparent feedback (internally and externally).
- Work in line with the requirements of the Business Plan, as directed by the line manager.
Requirement/Experience/Competence/Qualifications:- Several years proven experience in a similar role, within automotive industry
- Experience dealing with UK factor customers and buying groups
- Holds or willing to work towards HNC/Degree in Sales & Marketing or equivalent
- Technical awareness and knowledge of the products and services offered by the company.
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular).
- Proven experience to work as part of a Senior Management team.
- Knowledge of QHSE Legislation.
- Excellent detail to methodical problem-solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and Overseas.
- Strong negotiating skills.
- Ability to work without supervision
