Job Title: Production Manager
Location: Dudley, West Midlands
Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 DOE

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Manager or hands-on Operations Manager to lead and supervise daily manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Our client: Is a leading UK manufacturer of specialist sheet metal equipment, with a long history of supplying major players in the market. Their infrastructure is supported by manufacturing in multiple global locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise daily manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize efficiency.
• Directly manage and mentor a team of supervisors and production staff.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, set performance goals, and provide ongoing feedback.
• Identify opportunities for process and quality enhancement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and best practices.
• Proactively address challenges in the manufacturing process to minimize downtime and disruptions.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience in a production or operation management role within a manufacturing environment. Metal background or Assembly is desirable.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
• Ability to analyse data and metrics to drive performance improvements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
