Salary: £30000 - £35000
Hours: 8am - 4.30pm Mon-Thurs, 8am - 3.30pm Friday

The Client: Is a leading company in the casting industry, known for innovative solutions and high-quality products. We are dedicated to excellence and are looking for a talented CAD Design Engineer to join a high achieving, dynamic team.

Job Description: As a CAD Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D designs for niche casting projects. You will work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure that designs meet all specifications and quality standards. Using 3D printing to generate prototypes.

The Ideal Candidate: Would have some flexibility around work as occasional travel to other sites in the group will be required. Ideally from the metal castings industry with experience in architectural hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed CAD drawings and models for casting projects.
• Project management to see designs through from cradle to grave.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to refine designs.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and company guidelines.
• Revise and update designs based on feedback and project requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of all design work.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CAD Design Engineer, preferably in the metal casting or manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software (ideally SolidWorks).
• Experience with using 3D printing.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
