Annual Salary: £32,000 to £34,000
Weekly Hours: 6am to 2pm/11am to 7.30pm , Monday to Friday

Purpose of the Role/Role Overview:
Required to set up and operate a horizontal boring machine, milling, drilling, and boring one-off or small batch quantities of steel fabrications or castings to very close tolerances.

General Duties/Key Responsibilities:

Read and understand 1st and 3rd angle engineering drawings and have the ability to mark out/machine components from them.
Calculate dimensions and tolerances using relevant measuring instruments.
Use precision tools, machinery and equipment such as lathe, vertical and horizontal borers.
Where relevant, program/operate NC/CNC machines tools.
Properly and safely select, align, secure and remove holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials onto machines.
Recognise, deploy and properly use inserts, fixtures and tooling.
Examine and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications using appropriate tooling.
Perform daily and regular cleaning and maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
