Job Description
You'll be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality compliance and advisory services, and mentoring junior team members. The ideal candidate will have solid practice experience and be confident dealing with owner-managed businesses across a range of sectors.
The main duties will be:
- Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring deadlines and expectations are met.
- Prepare and review year-end statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP.
- Complete corporation tax computations and liaise with HMRC as needed.
- Assist with VAT returns, bookkeeping, and management accounts (where applicable).
- Provide business and tax advice to clients, including proactive planning.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, reviewing work and supporting development.
- Liaise with clients on a regular basis, building long-term relationships.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
Requirements:
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in an accountancy practice.
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting and tax legislation.
- Experience with cloud-based accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)."
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
