Our client in Redditch is looking for expand their Accounts team by recruiting an Accounts Assistant to specialise in all accounts tasks related to subcontractors. You will be responsible for performing daily transactions, covering accounts payable, accounts receivable and CIS processing.
Accounts Assistant key day to day duties:-
- Processing subcontractor invoices and resolve and related queries
- Processing CIS payments and updating relevant systems
- Processing and maintaining the subcontractor ledger – ensuring payments are up to date and liaising with other departments
- Overseeing purchase ledger from start to finish
- Provide necessary information to Senior Management
The successful Accounts Administrator will have the following skills and experience:-
Accounting qualification is desirable Level 2 AAT but not essential
Proficient with MS office software ( word / excel)
Experience processing Sub contractor invoices is essential
Proven experience in an accounts generalist role within construction or groundwork and relevant experience with subcontracting
Knowledge of domestic VAT reverse charge
CIS knowledge
GDPR competent
We are looking for someone who can multi task and b able to demonstrate methodical attention to detail skills. You will also need to be confident and be able to build long term external relationships and be able to communicate across all business levels.
In return you can expect to receive a basis salary of between £28-31,000 depending on your skills and experience and the hours of work are 8-4pm Monday to Friday and this is an office based role with free parking.
