Mail/Parcel Sorter
Location: Northampton 
Full-time, Seasonal temporary role
Hours : 10pm - 6am - £15.11 
Overtime over 40 hours payable at £15.36

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Mail Sorter to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that all incoming and outgoing mail is processed accurately and on time. This is a fast-paced role that requires good organisational skills and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
– Sort incoming and outgoing mail according to specified procedures.
– Organise mail by zip codes, delivery routes, and categories.
– Operate mail processing machines and equipment.
– Ensure that packages and letters are handled with care.
– Monitor for damaged or mislabelled mail and reroute as necessary.
– Keep records of mail transactions and process documentation.
– Meet daily sorting quotas and performance targets.
– Follow health and safety guidelines while performing duties.

Requirements:
– Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while sorting mail.
– Basic computer skills for mail tracking systems.
– Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
– Ability to lift and move packages up to 10kg.
– Experience in mail sorting or a similar environment is preferred, but not required.
– Must be punctual and reliable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
