Part Time Minibus Driver in Coventry x7

These roles are 20 hours a week working 4 hours a day which includes a split shift of 2 hours in the morning and afternoon.  These roles are term-time
only.  If you cannot adhere to these shifts please do not apply.
 
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory
response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).


What is the job role:
 
The job involves providing transportation for some of our most vulnerable people across Coventry. This can involve manual handling large wheelchairs and loading
them on and off the minibuses. You will be dealing with a range of challenging behaviors potentially on a daily basis. Continuity is a vital part of the
service we provide and we endeavor to keep the same driver and passenger assistant on the vehicle.  In summary, the role involves the following
tasks:
 

• Undertake all driving duties in allocated vehicles as instructed by PTS office team
• Pick up service users and transport them to their point of destination using the vehicle in a safe, secure and caring manner.
• Take all reasonable steps to prevent service users from causing harm to themselves and/or others.
• Complete all paperwork as requested.
• Be punctual, adaptable and reliable.

• Respect all clients and treat them with sensitivity and dignity at all times.  
• Be flexible in working contracted hours over a standard
• working day and over a 5-day working week on a rota.
• You need to be very patient, always calm, resilient and understanding of the needs of SEN children and vulnerable adults
