This is a unique opportunity to join a global logistics company as an Inventory Clerk, during a time of significant growth. The diverse administrative role on offer will be based at Hams Hall and will require the individual(s) to be flexible in all aspects of on-site administration.
 
As you will be managing the electronic records of the site's inventory, all applicants will need to be numerate, accurate and have very strong attention to detail. Ideally you will have some experience with a Warehouse Management system along with some prior knowledge of stock management software such as SAP. A vital trait we are looking for is somebody who will take pride in their own work.

Key responsibilities for the Inventory Clerk will include:
 
·         Process and chase Proof of Delivery for deliveries made via GXO fleet & hauliers
·         Arrange daily Perpetual Inventory counts for multi-contracts
·         Reconcile stock discrepancies resulting from Perpetual Inventory
·         Investigate potential picking errors
·         Maintain controls for returned and damaged stock
·         Effective communication of issues with both internal departments and external customers
·         The ability to prioritise work duties within a busy environment
·         Perform daily system hygiene checks
·         Clear communication of shift hand-over duties
·         Expedite unresolved matters within a sensible time frame
 
 
The key requirements of the Clerk role include:
  • Numerate and inquisitive
  • Preferred experience of SAP LES
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to change and learn new skills and techniques
  • Scissor Lift trained preferred but not essential (training will be given)
  • Effective written and oral communication
  • Effective team player
  • Financial awareness
  • Microsoft Skills: Excel, Word, Outlook. Basic to Intermediate level
  • Flexible approach to working hours
 
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 0800-1600
Rate of pay: £11.44 per hour (enhancements on this may be considered for the right skill-set).
