About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forklift Truck (FLT) Driver to join a dynamic and fast-paced home delivery operation in Northampton. This role is crucial to the smooth and efficient flow of goods within their busy warehouse environment. The successful candidate will be a key player in ensuring timely and accurate handling of products, contributing directly to a seamless customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
" Operating various types of FLT equipment (e.g., counterbalance, reach, and/or other relevant licenses) safely and efficiently.
" Loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure stacking.
" Moving and storing goods within the warehouse, adhering to designated storage locations and procedures.
" Picking and packing orders accurately, using hand-held scanners or other warehouse management systems.
" Conducting pre-use checks on FLT equipment, reporting any defects or maintenance requirements.
" Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
" Collaborating with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations and timely dispatch of orders.
" Meeting performance targets related to productivity and accuracy.

Essential Skills and Experience:
" Valid and relevant FLT licence(s) (e.g., Counterbalance, Reach, etc.). Details of specific licenses required will be discussed during the interview process.
" Proven experience operating FLTs in a busy warehouse or logistics environment.
" Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
" Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
" Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
" Good communication skills.
" Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
" Flexibility to work various shifts, including potential weekend work.

Desirable Skills and Experience:
" Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
" Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced distribution centre.
" Knowledge of manual handling techniques.
