Stores Person ( Chesterfield)

Pertemps Recruitment in Sheffield are recruiting on behalf of one of our clients based in the Chesterfield area who specialise in the Gas industry. A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Stores Person. We are looking for people that have done this sort of role before & has the experience on how the role of a store person would work. Successful candidate will be part of a team working under the supervision of Components Category Co-ordinator. ( Please read the full advert) 

Hours of Work Monday to Friday: Start at 08:00 to 17:00pm
Break Deductions: 1hr Unpaid
Location: Chesterfield S43 3JT

Job Description: To be responsible for the efficient running of the engineering stores facility. To provide a professional engineering stores to all customers by ensuring goods are checked in, adequate stocks maintained and dispatched to job sites on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring that workload is planned, and continuous improvements sought in all areas of the process:
•  Process all Stores inbound deliveries (Receipt/Check/Report shortfall and/or damage to Procurement Responsible/Log/Store)
•  Book in GRNs onto CRM.
•  Process Requisitions ready for dispatch (Picking, assembling, where necessary, and packing items as detailed on Requisition in line with SLA)
•  Dispatch packages in line with CRM Report. (Create dispatch report daily/arrange courier/dispatch in line with SLA.)
•  Input Dispatch details into CRM (Consignment number/date etc.)
•  Evaluate current stock holding items and identify opportunities for improvements. (Additional consignment stock/reduction in consignment stock/process improvements)
•  Stock checks, usage reporting and analysis of requirements
•  Maintain clean/tidy store

Decision Making
Any relevant decision pertaining to job description, including preparation of Permits to Work, Risk Assessments, Method Statements etc.

Health and Safety

•  To be aware of the Health and Safety policy of the company regarding:
•  How the HSE - MS applies to the employees and their work activities
•  Hazardous area classification
•  Awareness of Manual Handling Regulations
•  Control of COSHH items
•  Ensure adequate personal protective equipment is available and used as appropriate onsite

Qualifications Required

•  Minimum 2 years' experience in a Stores/Warehouse experience -picking & packing
• Knowledge of COSHH

In return the worker will receive the below pay:

Monday to Friday Day rates:  £12.00ph Qualifications Required

All workers pay rates are based on PAYE, we do not accept self-employed or Umbrella companies.

On top of the Hourly rate, you will accrue Holiday pay, which on average is based on 2 days a month on a 40hr week, Holidays are NOT paid in advance to make the rate look higher. You are enrolled into an optional Pension scheme that can be opted out & SSP is paid if any sickness after a certain period of working time.
