****12-week temp to perm vacancy for an HGV C+E Relief Driver out of Normanton****

Pertemps Recruitment Sheffield are recruiting on behalf of an award-winning global supply chain. They have an opening for an HGV C+E relief night driver, to play a vital role in the distribution service.

What does this role entail:

As an HGV C+E relief driver, you will assist the driver team and transport manager with the day-to-day operation, including HGV C+E and HGV C routes, assisting with heavy loads and maintaining site standards. As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

• Ensure the customers product is delivered to the dealer on time and in good condition.
•  Manual handling of roll cages, loose items and delivery of pallets
• Processing electronic handheld system / paperwork - ensure adherence to maintaining accurate records at all times.
• Drive in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Always comply with our health and safety standards, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

•  You will hold a valid HGV Class C+E Driving Licence with minimum of 6months commercial HGC driving experience
•  Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
•  MUST be able to start at 23:00pm Monday to Friday
•  Previous experience in roles that require manual handling
•  Previous experience within a similar environment
•  Adaptable - Able to adjust quickly to new situations and changing priorities

Pay rates are as below:
Monday to Friday

•  £16.50ph guaranteed 10hrs pay a night through agency for 12 weeks

Once Permanent

•  £39,400 per year based on a 48r contract

All Drivers pay rates are based on PAYE, we do not accept LTD or Umbrella companies.

On top of the Hourly rate, you will accrue Holiday pay, which on average is based on 2 days a month on a 40hr week, Holidays are NOT paid in advance to make the rate look higher. You are enrolled into an optional Pension scheme that can be opted out & SSP is paid if any sickness after a certain period of working time.
