Chef de Partie / Sous Chef – Luxury Rosette Restaurant, IslayLocation: Islay, Inner Hebrides
Contract: Immediate start – until 6th January
Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days from 7
Pay: £18.25 per hour
Accommodation: Available (£200 per month)
The RoleWe are seeking a Chef de Partie or Sous Chef to join our small, dedicated brigade of four chefs within a luxury 12-bedroom property on Islay. You’ll play an important role in delivering consistently high-quality dishes and maintaining our Rosette-level culinary standards. This is a hands-on position, ideal for a passionate chef looking to work with premium ingredients in a professional yet supportive environment.
Main Duties- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to Rosette standard.
 - Work efficiently within a small team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
 - Support the Head Chef in menu planning and daily specials.
 - Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety in line with current legislation.
 - Ensure stock control and assist with ordering and inventory management.
 - Contribute ideas for seasonal dishes and presentation.
 - Supervise and train junior staff as required (for Sous Chef applicants).
 
Requirements- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in a quality restaurant or hotel kitchen.
 - A passion for fresh, local, and seasonal produce.
 - Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
 - Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a small, close-knit team.
 - Right to work in the UK (proof required).
 - Basic Disclosure Certificate (cost will be refunded).
