Principal Mechanical Engineer
Office Location: West Yorkshire
Salary: £50k - £70 (DOE)
A building services consultancy are currently seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join their team. This is a senior leadership role where you will be responsible for leading high-profile projects, engaging with clients, and supporting the management team. They are looking for someone with significant experience in mechanical engineering, specifically at a senior level, who can lead complex projects and contribute to shaping the future of their operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the delivery of complex, large-scale projects across a variety of sectors.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing technical guidance and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Act as a mentor and provide leadership to a talented team of younger engineers, offering guidance and support to aid their professional development.
- Work closely with the management team to contribute to strategic planning and the improvement of project delivery processes.
- Play a pivotal role in the evolution of the company’s operations, helping to implement and refine the structural changes within the organization.
Their Upcoming Projects Include:
- Pharmaceutical Sector: New build and refurbishment of laboratory spaces.
- Student Accommodation: Large-scale student housing project.
- Residential Projects in London: Three mixed-use schemes, comprising 2-300 units each.
- Zero Carbon Initiatives: Two retirement villages transitioning to contract design.
- Entertainment & Cultural Projects: A large electronic music venue in London and a mixed-use cultural center in the Midlands (featuring a museum, repository, and education facilities).
