Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer looking to join one of the worlds most respected consultancies? We have the great opportunity to work on-site and in the office.

Our client is looking for an experienced, motivated Mechanical Design Engineer seeking to develop their career in a positive environment and join our team where talent is encouraged and growth opportunities unrivalled. This role will be based in Plymouth. And will be 4 longer days on site, with a shorter day on the Friday either based at home or in the Plymouth office.

The Role

The opportunity will require applicants to lead and deliver a wide range of technical design packages. An ideal candidate will have excellent team skills, working closely with other designers/disciplines whilst being imbedded on-site.

You will be focused on:

• Delivery of engineering solutions for large-scale packages of work.
• Undertake Design following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
• Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Production of all technical deliverables including client presentation and engagement.
• Preparation of briefs, scopes of work, and develop fee/bid proposals.
• Management of internal design resource in producing elements of the design.
• Engagement with internal and third-party specialists and resources.
• Engagement with suppliers and manufacturers to establish appropriate solutions.
• Review and verification of design practices and technical solutions as part of a wider team.
• Attendance at internal and external co-ordination, progress, and design review meetings.

 
Ideally, this person would have experience with MOD projects, plus relevant past experience within Building Services/Mechanical Engineering.
