Trainee Estimator – Plymouth

You will be working closely with an experienced estimators helping the sales team with proposals, tracking costs, understanding the customer's specifications and calculating the final budget for the project, product or service. Types of refurbishment projects are in Education, Commercial, Retail, Leisure and Healthcare up to a couple hundred thousand.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting with client, consultants, quantity surveyors, and other third parties
• Support potential tenders with commercial team
• Administrate correspondence and tender documentation throughout the supply chain
• Sending out tender enquiries to the supply chain, negotiating and adjudicating quotes
• Obtain pricing in a timely manner to meet with submission deadlines
• Support with various stages of all successful bids to ensure costs are kept in line with the forecast 

Requirements:

• Estimating in construction desirable
• Sales/pricing/tracking costs in construction desirable
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal English
• Highly numerate, uses initiative and solves problems independently
• Full clean driving licence is required, and DBS may be conducted
• Computer literacy skills and the ability to adapt to using company customer relationship management systems
