JOB TITLE: Support Worker - Nights

SALARY: £14.46/Hr
The Employer: We are recruiting a person for the role of Support Worker – Nights, within a housing environment, The Client is a large employer, based in the South West providing jobs for around 1800 people delivering services across a variety of fields, always looking to add to their ever developing pool of talent.
They provide housing options for every level of requirements, from homelessness and helping people back onto their feet, through to to people looking to buy a home for their retirement.

The Role:- Offering emergency and short-term accommodation for young people who are experiencing or being threatened with homelessness
- Provide waking nights cover at an accommodation-based service for 16-25 year olds
- Working closely with other Teams across the service to provide different levels of practical support to young people
- Carrying out welfare checks and inspections to ensure the health, safety and security
- Listening to people who need to talk.
The Candidate:- Experience in supporting people with various needs and backgrounds.
- A good understanding of young people’s needs, safeguarding and emotional and mental health issues with an element of resilience
- Understand risk assessing and risk management.
- Having the ability to apply common sense to situations, whilst being accountable for decisions made and reasons behind them.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Using own personality to build relationships
- Experience interacting with young people but also being alert to changes of risk and needs

Working on a 4 on / 4 off basis, between 7pm to 6am
This is a 4-6 weeks position, starting early November
A DBS is required for this role at Enhanced - Adult level
