Role: Rent & Income Officer Salary: £29,289 per annum Location: Axbridge, Somerset The Company: A Somerset based Social Housing partnership who build and provide new homes, and invest in existing properties, offering a commitment to high standards of service to tenants, and investing in people to give their best service.
The role:- Rent collection and arrears recovery processes in a social housing environment.
- Based out of their Somerset Office.
- The option to work from home and from the office under companies’ working policy, (subject to business need)
The Candidate will need:- Relevant experience of managing rent and arrears collection
- Knowledge of rent arrears procedures and best practice within a social housing setting
- Knowledge of pre-court protocol and housing legislation
- Experience of undertaking legal action to recover rent arrears
- The ability to prioritise and be flexible in a dynamic and agile environment
- Experience of dealing with complex situations and vulnerable people
- Clear and effective communication skills
- A commitment to meaningful engagement with tenants
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and Housing Management systems
- A relevant professional qualification or willingness to undertake further training as required for the role
Requirements- A full driving licence and own vehicle
Summary: Monday – Friday Position
It would be mainly Hybrid but there would be the need to attend Court in Somerset.
