I am interested in speaking to highly motivated and experienced individuals with a proven background in planning. The main purpose of the role will be to put together and submit successful planning applications on behalf of a wide variety of clients.
 

Snap shot of duties:
  • Processing of planning applications, advertisement consent, listed building applications and all other planning matters.
  • Undertake site inspections and consultations as necessary, in accordance with agreed targets, timescales and priorities on behalf of the client.
  • Dealing with post-decision matters such as discharge of conditions, advising on re-submissions and minor amendments.
  • Dealing with all planning related queries in person, by telephone, email, letter and being the first point of contact for all clients
  • Prepare the clients representations for planning appeals and handle on-going negotiations and correspondence.
  • Represent the company at events, meetings and groups as required
 
What's needed to apply:
  • Degree or Master’s in Town Planning
  • MRTPI is desirable
  • Full driving licence as you will be visiting clients and attending meetings regularly often in rural locations
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and Internet applications.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
  • Enthusiasm and able to organise and prioritise workload
 

Hours of work:
Monday to Friday
37.5 hours a week - typically 9am to 5pm
(flexibility with early start/finish if required)

 

In return:
A competitive salary is on offer, ranging from £35k - £40k DOE, plus a generous holiday allowance, parking, pension and bonus. A good mix of home and office working is available, on average 2 days from home
