Data Technician

Key role objective

A reputable company is seeking a Data Technician to fulfil the primary function of downloading and processing data obtained from their monitoring instrumentation, along with producing monitoring reports. Additionally, the role entails assisting the Technical Manager in the preparation of installation drawings.

They offer a comprehensive training and development program post-probationary period, including company induction, basic training, and PPE provision upon employment.

 
Responsibilities include:

• Remote downloading of data from our fleet of data loggers.
• Extracting, transforming, and processing data using Microsoft Excel.
• Assisting in the preparation of monitoring reports.
• Aiding in the creation and maintenance of monitoring dashboards.
• Preparing key associated documents, particularly AutoCAD produced section and layout drawings.

 
This list is not exhaustive, and various other duties may be required at your initial place of work or at any of the company’s establishments or sites.

 
Requirements:

• Excellent verbal, interpersonal skills, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of AutoCAD is desirable but not essential.
• Resourcefulness, initiative, and ability to work independently.

 

The role is office-based at our head office. While predominantly office-based, it does involve the use of a Visual Display Unit (VDU) as part of day-to-day activities.
